Is This 'Proof' That Amy Schumer Stole Zach Galifianakis' Joke?

Is This 'Proof' That Amy Schumer Stole Zach Galifianakis' Joke?

What do you think?

I imagine being a comedian is an absolute pain in the arse. Not only have you got to be funny (which is difficult in itself) but you've also got to make sure that the observations or jokes that you make are completely fresh. No-one wants to hear jokes they've heard a million times before.

It's like when someone shows you a meme and you're like, 'Oh. Yeah, I saw that like three days ago'. No-one feels good about that situation. Sometimes, you just pretend it's the first time you've seen it to be polite. Such is life.

Amy Schumer is someone who has been under fire for stealing jokes quite a bit. It's weird, I've never seen her material but I already know this. Her rumoured 'stealing' is more famous than she is. What an awful reputation to have as a comedian.

For example, Tammy Pescatelli made a joke while appearing on Comedy Central's Half Hour in 2006...

And what do you think when you compare it to Schumer's movie Trainwreck....?

Kevin Hart Is Now The Highest Paid Comedian In The World

Another comedian, Wendy, once said: "Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I like it when the guy pays for sex."

Schumer then had a HBO special where she said: "I'm very old school, I think the guy should always pay on the first date for sex."

A third comedian, Kathleen Madigan, did a comedy routine about Oprah Winfrey. A joke was included which said that she is so rich she can pay people to just slap food out of her hands. Schumer then did a skit called 'slap chef' where you could pay someone to, well, slap food out of your hands...

Plus, new footage comparing Schumer's stand-up routine and Zach Galifianakis' has recently come to light. Have a look below. Do you think the comparisons are too much of a coincidence?

As you can see, Amy says that she's a fan of Zach. Then, it cuts to a clip from Galifianakis' 2013 appearance on SNL, where he says: "I'd like to just talk about myself now, I'm very well read." But he pronounces it 'reed'.

Cut to Schumer's 2017 stand up... "So I know what you guys are thinking this time of the night, you're like 'Amy, wow. You're really well read'." - pronounced the same way.

Weird. Obviously, there may be some issues here with the jokes simply being similar. However, any jokes that are even a tiny bit alike will be made an example of. What do you reckon? Let us know in the comments below.
