A man who thought he had spotted a 'Big Cat' had, in fact, actually only spotted a big cat. Those two capitals letters make all the difference here, because one is just a lanky house cat and the other is a wild animal.
Philip White could hardly contain himself when he saw what he thought was a 'Big Cat' from his patio window. At the time, Philip thought that he was definitely filming a lynx or a jaguar, which he reckoned to be about 4ft in length and with distinctive markings.
To be fair to Philip, it is a massive feline.

Speaking to the Mirror at the time, he said: "It looks like a wild cat you normally see in the zoo or a safari park. Either it's escaped from a private collection or just living in the wild but it was pretty scary to see.
"It looked fully grown and was walking around with confidence so it's obviously used to its surroundings."
Anyway, after the footage went viral, the cat's owner has come forward to say that there is no lynx roaming around the sleepy village; it's just Hiro, a Bengal cat.
Here he is:

I mean, you can see how he made the mistake, this is a cool Big Cat looking big cat.
So, case closed, no Big Cats on the prowl in this particular village.
