Russian Tattooist 'Drugs Hairless Sphynx Cat' And Gives It Four Tattoos

Russian Tattooist 'Drugs Hairless Sphynx Cat' And Gives It Four Tattoos

This is awful.

A tattoo artist has caused a right palaver after tattooing his Sphynx cat.

Aleksandr, from Yekaterinburg in central Russia's Sverdlovsk Oblast region, dosed the cat up on painkillers before tattooing 'gangster' designs on the feline. They include a prison tower, a cigarette, vodka and a naked woman.

He's admitted that it may not have been the right thing to do. REALLY?! He said: "Of course I feel pity for doing it to him. It's not like he wanted to do it himself. He has a different skin, so tattoos are applied differently.

"I hope it is not too bad for him, it is not his first tattoo. Usually he feels fine and recovers from the anaesthesia pretty fast."

Animal activist Yelizaveta Skorynina had a lot to say about the tattooing (cattooing?). She said that Sphynx cats' skin is incredibly sensitive and that it was risky to administer anaesthetic. "The drug turns off the movement of the cat, but the brain is still working. If he does it frequently, it could affect its heart," she explained.

Maybe Aleksandr could've got some tips from a really good tattooist like Ben Boston from Bristol. He's so popular that he's booked up until next year after he fixed someone's ink and made the headlines.

Ben transformed Wayne O'Toole's tribal tattoo into a brilliant tribute to soldiers of both world wars. Understandable, as tribal tattoos are absolutely terrivle.

It took over 30 hours of work, but the end result is amazing:

Ben said: "As always we like to make sure you end up with a tattoo you actually like and want, not just 'anything that will cover it' as some people seem resigned to thinking."

I've got a few tattoos I regret. In fact, I think most people do. Is it time to get into the tattoo removal business?
