Incredible.

I absolutely love chimpanzees. They're one of my favourite animals and this story is just incredible. In fact, it made me cry. RT if u cri, lads.

Okay so Linda Koebner is an animal behaviourist who helped rescue some animals from the cages of a research laboratory 25 years ago.

She set up the non-profit chimpanzee sanctuary Chimp Haven in Louisiana and taught them how to live in the wild. What a woman.

Then, more than two decades later, she returned to the enclosure to see how they were doing.

The reunion was captured on camera and featured on the PBS documentary The Wisdom of the Wild.

In the footage, Linda goes to meet the chimps and asks them: "Do you remember me?"

Now, you would be forgiven for thinking "of course they don't, you daft cow, they're chimps". However, what happens next is unbelievable.

A chimp named Swing reaches out a hand to Linda and cracks a big smile. Then another chimp, named Doll, runs over to her. Linda is then overcome with emotion as the two chimps give her a great big hug.

Doesn't that make you feel all warm inside?
