Brad Pitt made the leap from A-list actor to legit superhero on Sunday night when he saved a young girl from being crushed by a large crowd, ET reports.

The 52-year-old Fight Club star was in the middle of filming Allied in Gran Canaria, Spain.

Pitt, along with two bodyguards, saw the girl in trouble among a group of keen fans who were gathered by a fence and paced over to lift her up over the crowd. No one was left hurt.

He was later seen comforting the girl as another bodyguard held her.

The ordeal was caught on camera.

Allied, set during the Second World War, is based on the true story of two French assassins, Max Vatan and Marianne Beausejour, who fall for each other during a war mission in Casablanca in 1942. The film also stars Marion Cotillard as Pitt's co-star, Lizzy Caplan, and Matthew Goode of Downton Abbey fame.

The movie is set to premiere in theaters November 23 2016.
