The Real Johnny Depp Surprised Guests At Disneyland Dressed As Jack Sparrow

No way!

You probably know by now that the huge blockbuster series of Pirates of the Caribbean movies are all based on a ride at Disneyland, right?

Yeah, it's really weird, but people find inspiration in the unlikeliest of places. The ride has been going on for 50 years now, although it was originally conceived as a wax museum and a walk-through exhibit. However, in 1967, the ride we now know and love opened.

Well anyway, someone in Disney's marketing department must have though that a surprise appearance from Captain Jack Sparrow himself at the Disneyland Resort in California would be the best way to celebrate. I don't disagree.

Life is complete! Just saw Johnny Depp on Pirates of the Caribbean

A witness to the spectacular event told E! News: "Everyone was surprised, shocked and excited to see him.

"He acted exactly like his character in the movies."

Another theme park visitor said: "It was a surreal moment for everyone on our boat! Crazy experience.

"Best Disneyland experience our family has ever been a part of."

Thank God for smartphones - loads of people managed to capture videos and footage of the A-lister.

I'm so jealous. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is out soon, so this is a perfect example of viral marketing. Give whoever came up with this a raise, ASAP.
