Yikes.

It's the day everybody was waiting for.

Aldi, the bringer of all cheap goods, was going to drop the ultimate game-changer: their own hot tub.

Originally advertised at a £399 price, the budget chain then knocked £100 off the price much to the delight of budding buyers.

Online stock of the product sold out within minutes on Thursday so it made sense that punters would queuing up in their hundreds when the inflatable hot tubs hit stores across the country yesterday.

People were reportedly queuing as early as 6:30am. For reference, most Aldi outlets don't open up on Sundays until around 10am or 11am. Talk about dedication.

To the shock of many, upon entering the store customers discovered that most of the tubs had already sold out.

Some were pissed off even prior to the big opening.

One woman tweeted: I am so unbelievably hungover with a huge headache and mums dragging me to fucking Aldi to try and buy a cheap hot tub."

Another wrote: "Can't believe my dads up and out at this time on a Sunday going round all the Aldi stores wrestling folk for this hot tub."

One furious tweeter Lee Barns @'d the supermarket's account, saying: "So you wait in the line to get into your local Aldi store to get a hot tub, to only be told at 10am the manager has sold them?"

Some shoppers even accused the staff of nabbing them first.

"Con. None in store. Staff took them no doubt. Why not stack them high if such demand???" one fumed.

It wasn't all doom and gloom, though. Some lucky bastards managed to get their hands one of them mini pools, including someone's granddad.

Incredible. You can't help but be happy for them given the weekend the UK had.

The hot tub comes with the following.

  • 120 air jets.
  • 2200W heater.
  • Circulation pump.
  • Integrated limescale protection system.
  • Rigid 3-way laminated vinyl with patented.
  • Fiber-Tech:copyright: construction.
  • Capacity approx. 795 litres.
  • A lockable insulating cover aids security and helps to keep heating costs to a minimum.

Better luck next time guys.
