The man behind the Batman mask counteracting the clown craze sweeping the UK has spoken out.
Garry Bedford is not like Bruce Wayne. He's your everyday man, your working class hero. A construction site worker and all-round nice guy out there making sure kids are getting a decent night's sleep.

Gary, 47, from Cumbria, is a father himself so this moonlight volunteering is no gripe for him.
Mimicking the superhero over the phone, Gary assures worried kids that he's got them covered when it comes to the clowns, who have been known to approach school children in broad daylight.

Garry told The Mirror, "They're always quite a similar pattern.
"The kids are apprehensive and scared at first but at the end they are very thankful.
"We put the Bat-phone up there to reassure people of the clown situation and that was really rewarding and really worked which I'm proud about."

Gary now has another 12 volunteers who work alongside him, phoning up frightened children.
As for the £1,000 suit, that was all on him.
