Woman Who Wanted To Look Good Next To Husband Becomes Bodybuilder

Woman Who Wanted To Look Good Next To Husband Becomes Bodybuilder

What a transformation.

It's getting towards summer now and we all need that kick up the arse that makes us get off our backsides, go to the gym and get in shape. Sadly, as we seek this, we also look for any excuse to not do exercise. Usually, "I'll start Monday" is the go to get out clause.

People like Alissa Danielle Mut put us all to complete shame, because she isn't thinking about getting off her arse, she's already off it.

The German beautician never felt comfortable in her skin, so would force herself to not eat anything during the day, but would then feast in the evening. Because of this she'd eat more at night than she would through the entire day.

She put herself on the right track, beginning to lose weight so she could look good next to her husband. Two and a half stone, three dress sizes and nine months later, she was body building.

"Having that struggle of being overweight and always wanting to be skinny, I always ended up eating good in the morning and really badly in the evening, or so I thought," Alissa said. "But what I did was very bad because I actually ate nothing until the evening when I would eat a lot of fatty carbs and everything that we had in the kitchen.

"I felt unhealthy, ugly and definitely wasn't comfortable."

Using her husband's active lifestyle as motivation, she got into the gym. Eventually though, she was hooked.

Her partner told her that he loved her the way she was, but she couldn't stop. She dropped from 11st 4lbs to 8st 9lb and a size 14 to a slim size eight, saying she finally feels "sexy" and has decided that being strong is much more important than being skinny.

And fair play, because she's a tank now.

When she started getting into shape she was at the gym five or six times a week. Now she only goes four times, to make sure she maintains her current shape.

One of her goals is to get the ever elusive six pack that many of us desire. Her main objective, however, is to continue improving her arse.

"My main focus is my backside because I never had a butt," she said. "I literally had to put in a lot of work and sweat to earn my behind and at the moment I'm also working on getting a six pack.

"Plenty of people liked me before and others love me now, I think it's always in the eye of the beholder and to others I'm an inspiration and I'm really enjoying that."

As for advice on losing weight, she's said the thing we all dread to hear. There's no quick way to do it. It's all about hard work, determination and patience.

"I think the hardest thing about losing weight was on my second day at the gym to hear somebody whispering to another person that I look fat and asking what I was doing there," she remembered. "I was sad for maybe a couple of seconds but in the end that only gave me more motivation to do more.

"I still can't understand why people would make mean comments about somebody else who is trying to get fit, I think people should mind their own business.

"I know that everybody hopes for a quick fix and I don't know if there is one without surgery but what I know for sure after trying to lose weight for so long is that making small changes works.

"By small changes I mean that I replaced my soda with juice and after some time with tea or water.

"I also started to cook more and add veggies and some protein, my meals before were just carbs on carbs and sometimes they still are but now I can enjoy them without feeling bad.

"I also took the stairs instead of the elevator, you can make as many changes as you like but I would recommend to take it slow, don't restrict yourself from everything you like or else it will be stored directly as fat."

Fair play to her, this is some serious work.
