Gaz Beadle, one of the 'stars' of Geordie Shore, is facing a Twitter backlash after sending out a thoughtless tweet following George Michael's death.
As people rushed to Twitter to pay tribute to the 53-year-old former Wham! singer, Gaz went with "This is George Michaels last Christmas. #RIPGeorgeMichael x."
The tweet has since been deleted and replaced with one saying: "#RIPGeorgeMichael," alongside an angel and microphone emojis.
But it was too late because fans had already seen the original tweet and have been posting and re-posting the screenshot as well as calling him out for the 'joke'. "Shit house we seen what you just put," writes one.
Someone else posted: "@GazGShore that tweet was just disrespectful shouldn't joke about someone dying #RIPGeorge #shocking".
Gaz is yet to apologise for the tweet.
Earlier today Sarah Michelle Gellar made the embarrassing move of tweeting a tribute to Boy George, instead of George Michael. She's since removed the tweet and clarified the mistake.
