Mia Khalifa Responds To Those HIV Rumours With Dark Humour

Very dark humour.

Ugh, fake news is actually getting frustrating. Not only is it affecting international politics but it's also now targeting innocent people for no reason.

Famous former porn star, Mia Khalifa made headlines recently after a fake news website published an alleged interview with her, detailing her revelation she was HIV positive.

But as the false rumours began to escalate, Mia let the world know she was in fact negative.

The tweet is referencing a scene from the hilarious TV show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia where Danny DeVito's character pushes to the front of a line to a waterslide, claiming he was HIV positive.

Mia's caption reads: "Jokes on y'all, this is gonna be me next time the beer line is too long at a hockey game."

Now if you thought that's where the controversial HIV jokes stopped, you're wrong.

Mia then decided that the best course of action was to release a proper statement.

She told Total Frat Move: "The site that posted this incredibly fake 'interview' with me is less credible than those ads on porn sites for hot girls in your area who are dying to meet you. I'm not sure what they have to gain from this bullshit other than publicity, but they definitely got that. I wasn't even going to make a statement acknowledging this trash, but because it has gotten so much exposure, it feels necessary.

"I don't usually let mean-spirited things about me on the internet get under my skin. That's a skill I've had to develop over time. But I'd be lying if I said this didn't hurt me. It has gotten to the point where people who are actually close to me started texting and asking if this shit was true - and that's what hurts the most. I've gotten used to being bashed, but a person can only take so much.

"In case it isn't clear already: no, I am not HIV positive. I get laid way less often than you'd think. The closest thing to intimacy in my life right now is when my roommate is washing her sheets and sleeps in my bed with me."

Well there you have it.

But the Lebanese-American is not a stranger to saying what's on her mind. She absolutely destroyed college NFL player Chad Kelly for trying to causally slide into her DMs.

Most guys would have got the hint, but not our Chad. He tried one last time to get in on some action.

But she's probably developed a thick skin after a pretty controversial porn career which I can imagine very few other actresses have endured.

The 24-year-old has made 23 movies over her two-year career. She quickly became one of the most searched for pornstars on PornHub and ranked number one after just three months in the business.

But her top spot earned her some serious death threats including a photoshopped image of her being beheaded by an Islamic State militant.

Now she really didn't help that when she appeared in a porn movie with a traditional Muslim garb.

Despite the massive outrage coming from Lebanon, Mia shut the haters down by telling the Washington Post: "Women's rights in Lebanon are a long way from being taken seriously if a Lebanese-American porn star that no longer resides there can cause such an uproar.

"What I once boasted to people as being the most Westernised nation in the Middle East, I now see as devastatingly archaic and oppressed."

Because of her porn career, however, her parents have stopped speaking with her. They said her choices did not reflect her upbringing.

There's even a petition for US President Donald Trump to appoint her the next American Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
