It's been a while since Chinese acting legend Jackie Chan held a film together on his own, but if the evidence of the trailer is anything to go by, he's back to his very best.
The Foreigner stars Chan as a restaurant owner on a revenge mission after his daughter is murdered by IRA terrorists, led by a menacing Pierce Brosnan.
The web thickens as the British police and the Irish militants are outfoxed by the evergreen Jackie.

The tone seems markedly darker than his previous escapades in the likes of Rush Hour and Shanghai Noon, where the fights were played for comedy as much as action.

"I really want to be like an Asian Robert de Niro who can do all kinds of things - comedy, drama, heavy roles," he told the Telegraph back then.
But on this form, he's more like Liam Neeson in Taken, chasing the bad guys across a major European capital in pursuit of justice for his daughter.
Fans of the action hero were quick to take to twitter after the trailer dropped...
The film is expected in the autumn. We can't wait.
