Most Intense Final Chase Ever As Woman Brings Back £100,000 By Herself

Bloody hell.

The Chase is one of those things that can never get boring. It puts you through a full range of emotions. The excitement of someone taking the big offer, the frustration of someone getting an easy question wrong, the anger of someone taking a minus offer, the tenseness of the final chase, the jubilation of winning the final chase, and, of course, the hilarity of Bradley Walsh.

Basically, it's perfect weeknight entertainment while you sit down and have your tea. Rivaled only by Pointless.

Last night though, the ITV quiz show had what was probably its most intense show ever.

Andrea, who has quickly become a heroine of everyday life, made it to the final chase to go head-to-head against Shaun Wallace, bringing back a tidy £100,000, equaling the record for most amount of money won by a single person.

Abandoned by her teammates, she faced the Dark Destroyer alone, with everyone on the edge of their seats, hoping she'd be taking the cash home.

If you watched it live, and listened closely, you could actually hear 60% of the British population shouting "come on Andrea, love!"

Stumbling at the tenth question Shaun got an answer wrong, meaning Andrea could get some breathing space should she answer it correctly, pushing him back a place.

Unfortunately, she also got it wrong, meaning two correct answers from The Dark Destroyer would end Andrea's hopes of bagging the £100K.

The final question was: "Dustin Hoffman won an Oscar for playing Raymond in what film?". And, if you know anything about films, then you know the answer is Rain Man.

With that, Andrea's impressive run on The Chase ended.

As you'd expect, both Bradley and Shaun had niceties for Andrea, as what she'd achieved by herself was phenomenal.

Earlier in the week people were pretty enthralled by Essex railway maintenance worker Danny who appeared on the quiz show, and was been labelled a 'hero' after revealing what he'd spend his money on, should he win.

Prior to his cash builder round he said: "I'd take the lads to Amsterdam. I haven't [been], that's why I want to go and look at the tulips and windmills and stuff."

Host Bradley Walsh couldn't help but have a giggle, which obviously means he knows exactly what Danny wants to go there for - he's probably done it himself.

When asked how many of his mates he'd take along, he said that there's currently an indefinite number, given that there's a strict no girlfriend rule.

"I reckon about six or seven but it depends," Danny said. "If any of them say they want to bring their missus it's not going to happen so number might go down, number might go up. It'd be a nice little jolly up."

Sadly, Danny and his cronies won't be jetting off to The Dam as he crashed out, though once again 'The Dark Destroyer', had nice words to say about him.

"You're a card, son. Shake his hand for me," he said to Bradley.

We sincerely hope that Danny somehow manages to raise the funds to take the boys to Amsterdam.
