Finnish Brewery Introduces 1000-Packs Of Beer And Raises The Game Forever

Have you ever been heading off to a house party, stopped at the shop and looked at the beer on offer and just thought... 'I wish I could buy 1,000'?

That would save me all this hassle of trying to work out exactly how many beers I'm taking. You don't want to be the guy that runs out at 11pm, but you also don't want to buy too many and have to leave them there.

Then there's the whole awkward thing where some people come back later to pick up their spares. Little word of advice, if you leave any kind of alcohol at someone's house, it's theirs now. Don't even try and claim it back. Just move on.

Anyway, this Finnish brewery has only gone and made a 1,000-pack, which would safely cover at least two university pre-drinks.

Look at this absolute beauty...

Yeah, it'd be a nightmare to get home but imagine all the time you'd save if this is just for you? You wouldn't have to go to the shop for more beers for at least a year, probably.

Apparently, part of the reason that Keisari introduced the 1,000-pack was as a joke at its rival's expense. Its opposing company, Karjala, brought out 100-packs so, obviously, it one-upped the competition.

It'll set you back around £1,820, but who can put a price on happiness? Unless it tastes like cat piss I think we're onto a winner here. Plus, you actually get some free.

GrubStreet reported that to hit 1,000, the brewery had to package five stacks of rows that are 12 beers wide by 18 beers long. This gives you a total of 1,080 cans.

Apparently, if the company doesn't manage to sell the 1,000-packs (are you kidding? They'll fly off the shelves for the banter alone) it's going to break them open and sell them in easier-to-manage chunks. I swear there's a law against that.

Anyway, it's a thing of beauty and I hope the other countries follow suit soon. They probably won't. But we can hope.
