You always know who a vegan is, as the cliché goes, because they can't go five minutes without telling you they are, in fact, vegan.
But now you might be able to clock a male vegan when you're walking down the street for another reason.

When 60-year-old Bernard Grice turned vegan for his health, he didn't realise that he would be prey to some unfortunate side affects, as reported by Sick Chirpse. He had switched from dairy products to soya milk and first noticed he felt more emotional than usual, and that his breasts felt tender.
It was only after a few months of chugging vanilla soy lattes (I assume - I mean they are delicious), that Grice realised he had grown breasts.

Understandably upset and more than a little confused, Bernard did a bit of research and self-diagnosed that isoflavones in soya were the cause. Isoflavones are a naturally occurring dietary supplement with a low level of estrogen, often used by menopausal women to reduce hot flashes - and commonly found in soya beans.
According to Sick Chirpse, Bernard is now suing his formerly favourite soya milk company for not telling him that growing breasts might happen (how much soya milk was the man drinking?).

No one said being a vegan is easy, Bernard. Sometimes you have to suffer for your beliefs. Could this be a test from the big vegan deity in the sky?
However, Bernard may be on to something. Is drinking copious amounts of soya milk a viable (and cheaper) alternative to going under the knife and getting breast implants? We predict a surge in people buying soya milk.

Although I must note that I have drunk soya milk for years and have not seen an increase in my cup size - but then I haven't seen a decrease, either.
Scientists - over to you!
