McDonald's Is Going To Alter Half Of Its Menu

McDonald's has overhauled a great deal of its menu in light of customers taking a stand against the current artificiality of its produce.

The overhaul will hit chicken nuggets, some breakfast options, and see the introduction of butter in place of corn syrup. Together, it covers almost half of the menu.

McDonald's president Mike Andres had initially defended the use of artificial preservatives but said that customers were generally opposed to them, telling the New York Times: "Why take a position to defend them if consumers are saying they don't want them?"

The overhaul itself will actually take six months before it is put into action. Fortunately, the cost of the new ingredients for McDonald's will not be pushed on us consumers.

The changes are a bid to modernise the fast food chain in an age of growing veganism and food-awareness.

Mike Andres said yesterday: "We're going to continue to follow up and continue to inform customers - we told you we were going to do this, and here's where we are on that."

I'm trying to think of a pun to end on, but my mind's been hijacked by the image of a Chicken Legend.
