You probably think scientific and technological advancements are a good thing, and yes, being able to order pizza without speaking to a human and not getting diphtheria from water are great.

But do you not think we've taken it too far? No? Are you sure?

With flavours including 'fiery watermelon', 'sizzlin' strawberry' and 'flamin' mango', these truly are a vision of Hell.

The sweets were showcased at the Sweets & Snacks Expo in Chicago last week, which I absolutely need to get tickets for next year, and are thought to go on sale in the US in December.

Despite my reservations, quite a few people seem quite excited at the thought of spicy skittles:
