LAD Comes Up With Tips To Maximise Your Chances Of Winning On McDonald's Monopoly

It's better than Christmas.

MoneySavingExpert's Coupon Kid, Jordon Cox, is a bit of a legend.

You may remember him as the LAD who needed to get from Sheffield to Essex, but realised that the train was super expensive. So, he shopped around and realised that if he went via Berlin he could save almost a tenner.

Sure, it's an extra 1,017 miles, but eight quid is eight quid. You could buy a meal deal at the train station for that - possibly even two if you play your cards right.

Jordon found that the cheapest one-way ticket from Sheffield to Shenfield, Essex was £47. Expensive, that.

However, he could spend £4 on a train from Sheffield to Derby, then £4.20 on a bus from Derby to East Midlands Airport, followed by a ridiculously cheap flight to Berlin with Ryanair for £11.83 then £9.54 on a flight from Berlin to Stansted and £8 on his bus ride home, totalling £37.57.

He's also the genius who managed to figure out a way to get unlimited free pies from Tesco. Do we really need any other reason to love this guy? Well, we have one whether we like it or not. Because Jordon's put together a list of how to maximise your chances of winning on McDonald's Monopoly.

If you didn't know already, today is the best day of the year. McDonald's Monopoly is starting again just in time for everyone to give up on their 'summer bodies' and instead give in to the deliciousness of fast food.

Thank you for these tips, Jordon. We owe you our lives.

Look Out For The Rare Stickers

There are rare stickers that everyone keeps an eye out for because, well, they're rare. If you manage to get your hands on one of these... DON'T EVER LET GO.

Old Kent Road - McDonald's medium extra value meal - 1,500,000 available

Euston Road - £30 Boohoo.com voucher - 10,000 available

Northumberland Avenue - Wireless speaker - 3,000 available

Marlborough Street - £250 Red Letter Days voucher - 1,200 available

Liverpool Street Station - Now TV box + pass - 13,000 available

Strand - PlayStation 4 - 500 available

Coventry Street - £1,500 holiday voucher - 150 available

Bond Street - Mini Cooper - 20 available

Mayfair - £100,000 cash - 4 available

Use Your Online Game Stickers

Many people ignore these stickers as they're not the 'instant win' ones. But according to MoneySavingExpert, this is one of the best ways to win. Jordon writes: "Every minute, there are two cash prizes to be won by whoever enters the code at precisely the right time, called the 'winning moment'. A lot of people throw these stickers away, but they could bag you from £5 up to £100."

He reckons that you should enter your code at 'low traffic' times, such as first thing in the morning or the middle of the night, as it will best improve your chances of winning. Don't do it at lunchtime because everyone and their grandma will be doing that at the same time. It's like going to Subway at 12pm. You just don't do it.

Pick Stickers Up Off The Ground

Okay, this might be going a bit far, but Jordon says that you should be picking up other people's discarded junk food wrappers so that you can use their stickers. Hmm, I know this is good for the environment if you're clearing up and whatever but personally I wouldn't do this.

Use Discount Vouchers

Get your money's worth by using the voucher on the back of your bus ticket. Big Mac and fries for £1.99? Score. Jordon says that you're going to get two stickers from this anyway, so you may as well pay £1.99 than full whack. Clever.

So, there you go. All the tips to get the most possible stickers and therefore the chance of winning big.

Remember to go halves with us if you win, though, yeah?
