I've never been to Mexico, nor do I really "get" beach getaways generally, but even I can admit that these bungalows built over the northeastern shoreline of Yucatan Peninsula are not exactly the worst things in the world.

Karisma Hotels say these are the first above-water bungalows in Mexico.
Each one boasts a panoramic view of the ocean and a ladder in case guests fancy a quick dip, as well as an infinity pool, outdoor shower and jacuzzi.
You can see the ocean from inside the bungalows through the glass-panel floor if in the panoramas aren't your bag.

Riviera Maya is host to some of the world's most interesting rainforests and archaeological ruins, including Tulum - about an hour away from the resort.
Sure, it sets you back $950 a night but it's all inclusive and just look at that fucking water.
Prefer Maga though, me.
