Anonymous Threatens To Expose Donald Trump's 'Russian Secrets'

Like most people, when Anonymous first started threatening 'bad guys' - I was intrigued. Who were these people? I imagined them being like a well-oiled machine which would dole out vigilante justice like free condoms at a Students' Union. Then, the group started threatening the parents of the little kid who fell into Harambe's enclosure.

They 'declared war' on the family, even giving out the phone number and address of the mother's workplace. The video said: "Dear citizens of the world, as you may have heard an endangered silverback gorilla, Harambe, was killed this week after a woman, xxxxxx, neglected to supervise her children.

"We do not see xxxxxx as a fit parent. We are calling on an investigation of xxxxxx and the zoo. We believe she should be charged in the death of an endangered animal.

"We are encouraging every able-bodied person watching this video to participate. #OpHarambe engage."

Several things come to mind, first of all being: who the fuck are these people to decide whether or not someone is a fit parent. Go fuck yourselves. I don't know a single parent who keeps their eyes on their kids 24/7/365. In fact, it's impossible. So to attack a woman who made a mistake really pissed me off.

Since then, Anonymous has been on a quickly-declining spiral of popularity. They seem to just 'wage war' on every single person who makes the news for being a hate-figure. Bore off.

Now, the group claims to have information on Donald Trump.

They're some pretty serious allegations. Do they really have that kind of intel? Chances are... no. No they don't. They're just desperately attempting to remain relevant.

They added: "This isn't the 80s any longer, information doesn't vanish, it is all out there. You are going to regret the next four years."

Honestly, if they really do have such great hacking capabilities and a strong moral compass - great. All power to them. But why not do something decent rather than picking on defenceless families.

It remains to be seen whether or not they actually have any evidence to back up their claims about Donald Trump, but if their track record is anything to go by then I'm not holding my breath.
