Desperate Parents Post £100,000-Per-Year Job For Nanny In Barbados

Desperate Parents Post £100,000-Per-Year Job For Nanny In Barbados

"I feel it is best to be upfront – the role is demanding."

Now, this could be a tricky one. £100,000 as an annual salary, all expenses paid and the chance to live in Barbados (it's currently 31C there).

All you've got to throw in is a few child-minding abilities and the job is yours.

Two very wealthy parents, who are desperate to fill their vacant nanny role, have posted the job advert this week with a bumped-up offer for a live-in nanny.

On top of everything else already mentioned they are also throwing in a fleet of sports cars and Michelin-star dinners for life.

The advert was posted on childcare.co.uk seeking a resident babysitter to look after their four young children aged two, five, seven and 15.

You'll be moved around four locations, depending on where the couple are based at the time, including: London, Barbados, Cape Town and Atlanta. You'll have probably guessed, but it's free flights too.

Sound too good to be true? The couple do admit that 'the role is demanding' at the start of the advert.

And here are the other catches...

1) Minding the children during their lessons - each one in home schooled. They'll need 'constant monitoring', and you'll also be 'participating in the lessons to help with further studies outside of the classes'.

2) You'll have a degree in children's psychology and at least 15 years of nannying experience.

3) You'll be a hard worker and expected to work six days-a-week, from 7am-8pm (but only when you're actually needed).

4) You'll have no children of your own.

5) You'll enjoy flying (although I'd have thought that was pretty obvious).

According to the ad, the parents, who are 'often absent due to work and social commitments', like to enjoy family time when they get it, so you must be prepared to take 'leave' at the drop of a hat.

Extra additions note: "We do not mind what the nanny does with their free time, however binge drinking or drug taking will not be tolerated and will result in instant dismissal.

"Ideally our nanny will be trained in self-defence, however if the right candidate doesn't already have this training we will provide and pay for it. This is non-negotiable."

If you said yes to all of the above, then you'll get access to an in-house celebrity chef, a wide range of sports cars, your own living quarters with private bathroom, kitchen area and living room.

You'll have to complete a two-week trial, sign a non-disclosure agreement, and run any errands the family may have, but at the end of it you'll land £100,000 each year.

Richard Conway, co-founder of the jobs website, said: "This certainly isn't like any other nanny job we've seen advertised on the site before, it's obviously for a very wealthy family, who want more of an addition to their family than an employee, which for some is great."

With great risk, comes great reward. It's double what one family offered for a nanny to live in a haunted house - so, surely, this is worth it.
