Say Goodbye To Getting Covered In Sand At The Beach With This Simple Trick

Just a dusting of talc

Going to the beach in the summer:

Pros: A nice sun tan. Ice cream. Swimming in the sea. Having a laugh with mates. Drinking cans out of a coolbox.

Cons: Sand in your hair. Sand in your shoes. Sand in your food. Sand in the rim of your cans. Sand in your crack. Sand in between your toes. Sand in your mouth. Sand.

Seriously though, as great as the beach is, there are few things more annoying than getting lathered up in factor 50 just to be covered head-to-toe in beach a minute later.

It's seemingly impossible to get rid of too. No matter how well you think you washed that shit off when you got home, you'll undoubtedly find a few lingering grains in your socks or pants later on.

But it doesn't have to be this way. Now you can enjoy a summery jaunt to the beach without getting half of it stuck in your various crevices/orifices, and it's all down to one simple trick:

The video above illustrates a hack put forward by one user of giant online mum-portal, mumsnet.com, which suggests the best way to get rid of every grain of sand, before you drag it all back into the car or your house, is to use talcum powder.

"Chuck a load on your feet to help brush off the sand that's stuck to them," the mumsnet user suggested.

"Works like a charm."

Presumably, if it works for your feet it will work with the rest of your body too. Good to know.

And as you can see above, one dad was so thrilled with this particular beach hack that he went to the trouble of making a YouTube video, showing the rest of us how to do it...just in case you were unclear about how to pour talcum powder on yourself.

In the clip, the dad covers his daughter's feet with talcum powder, before brushing them with a towel and removing all of the sand.

It's as simple as that. A dusting of talc and it's farewell to weeks of finding sand in your car, bed, bath, pockets, socks and basically pretty much everything else, for that matter.

So, there you have it. If you're heading down to the coast in the UK or somewhere slightly sunnier this summer, save yourself from bringing half of the beach back home with you by simply throwing a bag of talcum powder in your bag, along with your sun screen and picnic.
