Simon Bird Reveals If 'The Inbetweeners' Will Be Making A Comeback

Interesting.

The Inbetweeners at its prime was a great show, the first two series were comedy gold. But when the rumours of a new series started many people weren't happy. The latest series wasn't anywhere near as good and sometimes shows need to know when to stop.

With the rumour mill in full swing Simon Bird, who played Will McKenzie, has responded to the claims the show may be making a comeback.

"Yep, I can confirm The Inbetweeners is over," he told the Guardian. "[The films were] a massive surprise. Then again, every step of the way with The Inbetweeners was a surprise.

I can't emphasis enough how small that show seemed. It was the first sitcom E4 ever made, with a shoestring budget, first-time writers and a first-time cast."

So there you have it, no comeback. Not until one of them goes skint or they make a return for Comic Relief 2027.

You all know what the main guys are up to now but what about Will's first love, Charlotte Hinchcliffe, played by Emily Atack.

She's been busy as of late, and is a far away cry from the high school girl Will McKenzie flopped about on top of in the Channel 4 programme.

She's worked with Keith Lemon a few times on shows like Celebrity Juice and the series featuring Leigh Francis' character, Lemon La Vida Loca, as well as The Keith Lemon Sketch Show.

Back in 2010, around the same time that The Inbetweeners had reached its final series, she took part on the reality talent show Dancing on Ice. She partnered up with Fred Palascak and they were the eighth couple to be eliminated, falling short to the likes of former Eastenders actress Danniella Westbrook and footballer Kieron Richardson.

Back on the TV circuit, she has a recurring role in the award-winning sketch show Tracey Ullman's Show on BBC One.
