Multiple Vehicles Crushed In London Car Park As Flood Pushed Floor Up

Multiple Vehicles Crushed In London Car Park As Flood Pushed Floor Up

Sounds like a remake of Crystal Maze.

A number of cars were flattened overnight after a freak flood caused the floor of a London underground car park to rise, pushing the vehicles into the ceiling.

The crushed motors were on a surface that had polystyrene insulation beneath it. Just like an episode of Crystal Maze, the floor rose four feet after water flooded in.

It happened as a results of a burst water main that flooded the high street in Crayford and left hundreds without water.

Because of this, supplies had to be brought in. So naturally people took the piss, didn't they?

One guy was seen filling his car boot up, while another took as many as 40 bottles, the Metro reports.

The London Fire Brigade was called to the scene and pumped the water out of the high street, but little could be done to the crumpled cars parked below.

Insurance companies are going to get an interesting call on Monday morning. "What do you mean the floor rose and crushed your car?" That's going to take some explaining. Hope they're reading.
