Liam Hall was aged only 17 when he drowned last summer just off the coast of Roker Beach, Sunderland. What started as a fun adventure on a dinghy with mates ended in utter tragedy.

A year on from this heart-breaking fatality, Liam's mum Sarah and friend Natalie - who was on the dingy with him that day - have opened up about the incident.

While reflecting on Liam's life, Sarah and Natalie also want to warn people of the potential dangers of cold coastal water and educate them on how to survive perilous situations at sea.
