Once again we are supporting the RNLI's Respect The Water campaign with the ambition of reducing the number of drownings that happen around the UK's coast each summer.
There is good reason for this, too - over the past five years it is men who have accounted for 77% of coastal deaths on these shores. A truly shocking statistic that we need to address.
This year, the campaign is focused around a key message: Float To Live. This means that, if you do find yourself unexpectedly submerged in cold water, fight your instinct to panic and instead try to float. It will increase your chances of survival.
The video below details exactly what do if this does indeed happen to you. Give it a watch, and put it into action if you find yourself in such danger.
