A 14-year-old boy has been shot dead by his dad at a Florida gun range.
Stephen Brumby was shot by his father, William, after he'd had taken Stephen and his two siblings to High Noon Guns in Sarasota.
Police said that the 64-year-old inadvertently shot his son when a spent shell from his handgun casing deflected off a wall and fell down his shirt.

When attempting to remove the casing from his shirt, William pointed the firearm behind him, and as he did he accidentally pulled the trigger, shooting Stephen.
Stephen was rushed to hospital, but died from his injuries.
Police are currently investigating the incident. However, according to the sheriff's office, no charges have been filed against Brumby.
The 64-year-old took responsibility for killing his son, rather than blaming the gun.

Speaking to the Tampa Bay Times, Brumby said: "The gun didn't kill my boy, I did.
"That's why yesterday was so stupid and freaky on me because the gun is supposed to be pointed down range at all times. My first thought was 'That was pretty stupid of me. I should've put the gun down'."
Brumby realised he'd shot Stephen when his 24-year-old son shouted: 'Dad, Stephen's been shot'.
In 2013, local paper the Herald Tribune described the gun range as being 'one of the safest indoor shooting ranges'. However, recently the shooting range's Facebook page has taken a battering of comments regarding its safety, after Stephen was shot.
