Cara Delevingne claims to have lost over 50,000 Instagram followers after she spoke out about singer R. Kelly and the string of sexual assault allegations made against him.
The 26-year-old actor and model made the statements earlier this week, describing the singer as a 'predator', after watching the docu-series Surviving R. Kelly, which details the allegations.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, she wrote: "I finished the Surviving R. Kelly documentary last night and I am so shocked and outraged at how long this has gone on.
"My heart goes out to all the victims of his emotional and physical abuse and their families. This man is a predator that feeds of power and in my opinion is far worse than Harvey Weinstein and needs to be held accountable."
She went on to describe her guilt surrounding the situation, stating, "I am not trying to compare the two, my point is, Harvey is being investigated and R. Kelly is not.

"We have ourselves to blame in this situation, I knew of the allegations but failed to try and understand the severity of the situation. I still continued to listen to his music."
Cara concluded the post with praise for the survivors, writing: "Stop separating art from the artist, just because he sings like an angel, doesn't mean he is one.
"I still want to applaud @johnlegend @keke @vincestaples @chancetherapper @jadapinkettsmith @ladygaga for continuing the conversation. I really hope that more musicians stand up against this monster #MuteRKelly #MeToo #blackgirlslivesmatter."

The day after, the model took to Instagram again to explain that she'd lost 50,000 followers overnight, which she put down to 'posting about @rkelly', adding: "The followers I lose clearly don't agree with what I have to say, people that support the ideas and actions of others who are moving backwards and not forwards."
The documentary series explores the singer's career, which has been riddled with rumours of abuse, predatory behaviour and paedophilia over the years.
Although the rumours have continued to bubble beneath the surface, this documentary series highlights a number of fresh claims made by alleged survivors and people from R. Kelly's inner circle.
According to Vulture, a criminal investigation has been opened against the 52-year-old singer in Georgia, reportedly because of the interviews featured in the recent show. R. Kelly has consistently denied any allegations of abuse or misconduct.
