A murder suspect has confessed to killing his girlfriend on Reddit.
Agar Hassan, 24, who alledgedly stabbed 22-year-old Melinda Vasilije to death in her apartment posted three words to the site: "I did it."
Hasan claimed to his fellow Redditors that he killed in self-defence.

Going under the username RedasBlue101, the poster revealed texts and details that only he could know.
The post has since been taken down.
Police remain on the hunt for Hasan, who is believed to have fled the US after the tragic incident on Friday

"She was more than a girlfriend, a soon-to-be fiance, she was my everything," RedasBlue101 wrote. "What happened that night was nothing but tragic."
The poster described going to the woman's apartment in April to try and talk over some of their troubles. Two men then 'roughed him up' before police were called.
A few weeks later, they tried again.
"We cuddled and talked ... and finally decided it was worth to try one more time," the post added.

But when he revealed he had been seeing other women, Vasilije "freaked out".
"Almost out of nowhere she grabs a knife by the sink. She comes at me in full force, aiming towards my face. I tell her to stop. She doesn't."
He added: "I freaked out, I was scared and in a state of shock."

"Out of shock and fear I grab one (a knife)," the poster claimed after Vasilije allegedly tried to stab him. "I hit her with it, almost blindly. A few times. I didn't know what happened. I was confused, shocked and scared. I had no intentions of that happening. When I left I honestly thought she just passed out. Then I looked at the blood, and started freaking out and just ran."
The two dated on and off for over a year, even at one point talking about marriage and children, according to the poster.

"We were each other's best friends," the post said. "The amount of regret and sadness is without words."
Police say Hasan fled the US soon after the murder. He was last seen on April 28 at about 10am, having allegedly stolen a licence plate from a car in a Walmart parking area in Erie County, Pennsylvania.
