Earlier this year there was a worrying outbreak of 'super-gonorrhoea' in the UK, and it was pretty scary.
Now, holiday-goers, I'm sorry to shit on your chips, but there's reportedly a 'super-chlamydia' outbreak sweeping across the popular party destination of Magaluf.
Known as 'Shagaluf', most teenagers go in the summer months to get their ends away, and in the midst of a Jager-fuelled drunken state, any sense of protected sex flies out of the window.
FeelSummer, a website that advertises events in Magaluf, reported the rise in cases linked with chlamydia, and the results are quite terrifying.
"A recent article by The Global Post reported that one in five women under 30 plan on having unprotected sex while on holiday," the website wrote in a blog post.
According to the article, the average single woman has had unsafe sex 11 times with four different men, which makes me really question my personality, looks, dance moves and dress sense, because I am never that guy.
Apparently, women aged between 30 and 40 are the most likely to catch an STD, but I can't say I've seen too many middle-aged women partying in Magaluf.
The blog continued: "On holiday, both men and women want to let their hair down and, for British holidaymakers, this often involves copious amounts of alcohol. Being drunk is often blamed for someone's decision (or rather their lack of decision) to use protection."
The number of patients with chlamydia has doubled since 1999. Things were different in '99 though - Tony Blair was Prime Minister...

Because chlamydia is often symptomless, or the symptoms do not show immediately, many people think they've gotten away without contracting the disease, but that is very rarely the case.
Wrap up, lads.
