Barack Obama Is Reportedly Already Returning To Politics

Nope, not like that.

Don't worry people, Barack's back... Is what I hope a 1970s style action drama starring Barack Obama as a rogue cop would have as its slogan. It's also relevant, as the former president is already returning to politics, according to the Daily Dot.

Don't go getting all excited thinking he's making some kind of miraculous comeback to thwart Donald Trump's current reign over America, because he's not. He is, however, said to be taking up a role in a Democratic organisation called the National Democratic Redistricting Committee (NDRC).

The committee focuses on gerrymandering, more specifically, fighting against it. If you don't know what that is, it's basically where electoral districts are set and manipulated, in order to favour one party or class. It'll come as no surprise that Obama and the democrats will be fighting against a gerrymandered map that heavily favours Republicans.

"It's coming. He's coming," Eric Holder, Obama's former attorney general and chair of the NDRC, said. "He's ready to roll. This is really a battle for our democracy."

Obama will reportedly be a 'more visible' part of the operation, according to Politico, presumably putting his popularity to good use.

After relinquishing his place in The White House to successor Donald Trump, Obama has been pretty quiet, taking a well earned break from, well, life, really.

During his holiday he was spotted having a whale of a time with businessman Richard Branson, heading to the latter's private island and a spot of kite-surfing.

On his blog, billionaire Branson wrote: "One of the first stories Barack told me when he and Michelle arrived on Moskito Island was how, just before he became president, he had been surfing on a dangerous break in Hawaii.

"When he came in from an exhilarating session, the new head of his security team turned to him and said: 'This will be the last time you surf for eight years'. For the next eight years he didn't have the chance to surf, enjoy watersports or do many of the things he loved."

You can't blame him. In fact, I reckon he's coming back a bit early, to be honest.
