Anthony Joshua Revealed What He Said To Wladimir Klitschko Before Stoppage

What night at Wembley.

Anthony Joshua proved last night that he doesn't just talk the talk but he also walks the walk! And Joshua revealed exactly what he was telling Wladimir Klitschko during the fight.

Before last night's fight there was questions over the quality of opponent that Joshua had previously faced and whether or not he could go into the later rounds.

Tony Bellew told BBC 5 live in the build up to the fight that even if he answered those questions people would find something else to question like whether he could get back up off the canvas to win.

Last night in front of 90,000 people at Wembley the former Olympic champion answered all of those questions as he faced a sixth round knockdown to beat Klitschko in the 11th.

Throughout the fight the younger man could be seen talking to his elder opponent and, asked about what he was saying before he ended the fight, Joshua was happy to answer:

"I told him I'd whoop his ass in the next round."

Mystic AJ also revealed that when his corner had told him that he needed to win the next round, going in to the 11th, he was as cool as a cucumber:

"My coaches said I needed to win the next round (at the end of the tenth), but I told them I just took that round off, I needed a rest."

Klitschko may have lost by stoppage but arguably only enhanced his reputation at the 'old' age of 41 and having not been in the ring for 17 months.

The former champ fought better than he had when he lost his titles in November 2015 to Tyson Fury and was knocked down three times in the fight.

Quite how he got up twice in the 11th before the eventual stoppage was beyond everyone.

It was a night that showed the blue riband event of boxing is still its most special and that Joshua is the real deal!
