Amir Khan was chased through the streets of Bolton after being involved in a road rage incident in his £100,000 Range Rover.

According to the Sun, the 30-year-old was driving though his hometown when his 4x4 was hit by another car. Violent scenes then reportedly broke out when the driver of the car confronted Khan about the crash, thought to have been caused by the champion boxer taking a wrong turn.

The paper reports 'several men' then attempted to attack Khan, with one man throwing a punch. Probably not the best idea, to throw a punch at a boxer.

The 30-year-old boxer called police after the incident, which happened at around 9.15pm on Friday, but no arrests have been made.

A spokesperson from Greater Manchester Police said: "We were called to reports of road rage incident/assault. It appears the person driving has made a wrong turn and this has angered the person behind them and there's been an altercation.

"The driver of the first car was punched. There were no arrests. Anyone with information should contact us."

The spokesperson added that 'items had been thrown' but didn't say what they were.

This isn't the first time Khan has been confronted by a gang when in his personalised Range Rover.

Back in 2012, he and his brother Haroon were involved in a fight when six armed men tried to steal the £100,000 car. The brothers fought back, with one eyewitness telling the Sun the guys had chosen 'the wrong blokes' to mess with.

He said: "These guys tried to jump Amir and his brother but they picked on the wrong blokes. They parked their car in front of the Range Rover. At least one had a cosh. One slapped Amir and clipped him on the lip but Amir pulled back and knocked him out cold.

"Then five of them went for Amir and Haroon - but they stood their ground and these guys got dropped one by one. They left these men with cuts and bruises but all they were doing was defending their property."

At the time, police said 'nobody came forward' to report the crime.
