Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Fighter's Arm Snaps When He Refuses To Tap Out

Any type of MMA is, in my humble opinion, pretty fucking ballsy because, well, it's just insanely brutal. But that's why most of the sports which are listed under mixed martial arts have a tap out rule where you can hit the mat to end the fight.

Most fighters realise that when they're locked in an arm bar or a messed up choke hold, that they should tap out to make sure they don't get injured.

But not this Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter.

Fighter Ethan Crelinsten had his opponent in what's called a kimura armlock which puts an extreme amount of pressure on the victim's shoulder.

The pair was competing at the ADCC trials in Abu Dhabi. Ethan holds the armlock for some time until suddenly the arm snaps. Even if you watch the clip with your eyes closed, the sound is enough to haunt you.

Ethan's opponent sits up immediately before looking down at his bent AF arm.

Now while some might think 'holy shit, poor guy', several people on Ethan's Facebook page condemn his opponent for not tapping out when he should have.

One said: "Unbelievable that the guy didn't tap. What was with the ref pushing you away after raising your hand? Was he mad or just clearing you off the mat?"

Another commented: "Even the most flexible have to tap sometimes."

One viewer, with little sympathy, wrote: "Seen it already. Stupid fuck, it sucks to put that on another grappler. If you force someone to hurt you like that you deserve all the pain. The sound and feel of that arm breaking is going to stay with you for a while."

These videos are, quite frankly, fucked. So here's another one.

Armenian weightlifter Andranik Karapetyan screamed in pain after his left elbow snapped while trying to clean and jerk 195kg.

Apparently, the 20-year-old was one of the favourites to get gold. That's a real slap in the face.

To make matters even worse, right up until the moment the elbow dislocated it had seemed certain that he would win a medal which would be Armenia's first one in these Olympics so far.
