Heartbreaking story.

A young, charitable blogger, who was told she had three years to live when she was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour, has sadly died just one day before her planned wedding.

Anna Swabey, 24, met the love of her life Andy Bell on Tinder last year.

Despite being warned that he would be a widower by the age of 30, Bell had his heart set on marrying Swabey.

The couple had originally made plans to get married on September 17 in the Yorkshire Dales.

However, the bride-to-be's condition took a dramatic turn for the worse and her family announced on Facebook today that she had died peacefully at her home in Newton Aycliff, County Durham.

The family wrote: "Anna passed away peacefully in the early hours of this morning.

"I cannot put into words the heartbreak we all feel, but amongst our sadness, we are so proud of her courage, her spirit and the determination she showed throughout her illness.

"If ever there was a person to show us how to live, it's Anna Louise Swabey, our beautiful, brave girl."

Swabey was first diagnosed with an extremely rare Grade Three brain tumour, which is known as anaplastic astrocytoma, in January 2015, reports the Mirror.

Since then, during her battle with cancer, she campaigned tirelessly to raise awareness and money for brain tumour charities. She raised approximately £80,000 for the Brain Tumour Research Campaign.

Swabey started blogging about her experiences living with cancer last year and also shared what it was like to date while terminally ill. She said in a blog post in May: "I knew half way through my third date with Andy that I was going to break his heart.

"Not because I was going to cheat on him or dump him, but because I knew I was going to die."

Her sister Victoria recently said in a post to Anna last month: "You are indeed a legend... Thank you to everyone for your well wishes.

"It means so much."

For the past year her fiancé, along with her immediate family, helped her through 12 gruelling rounds of chemotherapy.

It is a truly devastating story and our thoughts go out to her entire family, who must be so proud from all that this dedicated, strong and selfless woman has achieved for charity while living with a terminal illness.
