It's every man's greatest fear to have their penis injured in any way, shape or form - so spare a thought for this bloke, whose dick looked unrecognisable after a romp session with his girlfriend at the time.
Steven Horden, 37, from Kent, and his girlfriend Kiera Diss, 38, were having sex, trying for a baby, when the unthinkable happened: his penis 'snapped in half'.
Steven was rushed to hospital and his bloodied and bent organ was treated, but the horror was yet to come when he saw how badly damaged his Johnson was.
During the four days he spent in the facility, he had to have a circumcision after doctors found it difficult to insert a catheter.
Steven said: "It's nasty. The whole penis is bruised and bent and horrible. We were doing doggy style. It was a little bit too frantic. I think we overdid it a little.
"The doctors told me that only time will tell if I can still have children."
"She's gutted," he said. "We can't have sex for six weeks. We did try last night but it was too painful."

But what about Kiera? How is she feeling from all of this?
"Steve was in a lot of pain," she explained. "I was in shock, I never imagined something like this would happen. I feel a bit guilty as I think it was my thrusting backwards that was half the cause of it. But I stuck by him, helped him clean up, use the toilet, I've been there all the way."
Kiera believes that maybe this is fate telling them not to have children, despite trying for the past six months.

While doggy style proved painfully dangerous for this couple, it turns out cowgirl is by far the most dangerous move in terms of penile fractures.

A study published in the Advances in Urology journal found that nearly half the number of people presenting to three hospitals in Brazil with penile fractures had suffered the injury as a result of the cowgirl position.
The study authors wrote: "When woman is on top she usually controls the movement with her entire body weight landing on the erect penis, not being able to interrupt it when the penis suffers a wrong-way penetration, because the harm is usually minor in women with no pain, but major in the penis."
So while it's healthy for the bedroom to be a place of... umm, 'exploration', make sure you do it carefully.
