Bullying is a terrible thing to experience. And when it happens at school, it can be unbearable. Day in, day out, it can make anyone's life miserable.

According to Ditch the Label, 1.5 million young people were bullied within the past year and 145,800 of these were bullied every day.

And it's boys who are more vulnerable - and do most of the bullying.

One boy still suffering from bullying is seven-year-old Jak. His mum has set up a Facebook page to voice her anger at the school that she believes has let her son down.

Jak's mum Laney, who claims that his school has completely failed little Jak, isn't giving up until she get's justice for her little boy who ended up in hospital after being picked on at school.

"My son was bullied all this term by one child!!" she wrote on her page Justice for Jak.

Jak has had a terrible time of it. According to his mum, he has been: "been whipped with skipping ropes, stabbed with a pencil, scratched, punched, called names, stabbed with paper clips, hit around the face with a tennis racket."

That sounds terrible.

But Jak's now had such a serious beating from the bullies that he has ended up in hospital. On the 23rd of March, Jak's mum says that: "the bully was hitting my son in school and pushed him so hard he hit his head on a metal pole. The school did not give him a head injury letter or even a cold compress."

Laney goes on to say she complained to school that the bump on his head had swollen and she took him to A&E, but was told it was concussion.

Laney kept taking him to the doctors, only to be told it was concussion. When the lump started leaking puss, he was put on antibiotics.

On his birthday, he couldn't enjoy his party properly as he had such a bad headache. He spent all day in bed crying. Absolutely heart-breaking.

"That evening Jak cried all night with head pains in my bed," wrote Laney. What a horrible way to spend your birthday.

Laney wanted to get the police involved as the school didn't do anything about the incident. But she was told that the boys were under 10 so the police couldn't get involved.

She continued: "Jak was screaming in pain again so I took him straight back to A&E. AGAIN I were told concussion, AGAIN I complained! Jak was later admitted into a pre-assessment unit and then admitted onto the children's ward. Jak has suffered so much pain for the last two weeks now!"

"Jak was taken into theatre to drain the blood clot that had formed and puss that had gathered in his head. Jak is on a drip having antibiotics, painkillers and even morphine. His vein had collapsed in his hands from his cannula so is like a human pin cushion. Having cannulas fitted, bloods take and swabs," wrote his distressed mum.

And yesterday Jak had surgery again.

"Jak was taken back to theatre he's had a electric vacuum drain inserted into his head... meaning two tubes put in his head to drain the infection and the blood from his head. Jak is lying in a bed on strong medication with tubes coming out of him whilst the bully has carried on with life as normal"

"My son has been in a hospital bed for six days, not once has the bully missed a break time or received any punishment! Then today whilst I'm waiting for a seven-year-old to come out of theatre from having a head operation for the second time I receive an email from the school. It was a letter sent to all parents saying that it was a MINOR INJURY that has got infected! I'm appalled at the school that i send my children to for six hours, five days a week to be put in danger and then dismissed."

Someone has set up a Just Giving page for Jak to give him a proper birthday when he recovers so he can enjoy himself properly. He certainly deserves some fun after this awful ordeal.
