Starbucks Barista Writes 'Virgin' On Woman's Cup Instead Of Her Name

Although Starbucks is a little pricey, I do kind of like the name thing on the cup thing they do. But, then again, I've never been named 'Virgin'.

That's exactly what happened to Rosie Anderson. The 22-year-old was left embarrassed and a bit confused when she noticed one of the baristas had written 'Virgin' on her drink.

She emailed a photograph to their customer services department and, in some kind of ironic twist, received an automated response and two drink vouchers. More chances to get the virgin thing nailed home.

Unfortunately, Rosie wasn't too pleased initially.

She told Mirror Online: "I was so angry, they may as well have written 'troll' on my cup - that's how it made me feel.

"I can laugh about it now, but what if the staff are doing that to every girl who goes in on their own? It could really upset them, especially if they're really insecure."

She added: "I said Rosie and I thought I spelled it out to them.

"There's no way they could mistake Rosie with Virgin.

"I didn't notice anything funny about the staff, they were joking around, or not."

A Starbucks spokesman said: "We are disappointed to learn of this incident and would like to sincerely apologise to our customer for her experience.

"We strive to provide an inclusive and positive experience for all and this is not representative of the service we know our customers expect."

That said, I reguarly write whatever comes into my head, whether I mean to or not, so maybe the barista was thinking about...I don't know...virigins?
