Over the past few months, Liam Gallagher has been very vocal on social media, often calling out his brother, Noel.

Liam's older brother has been unusually quiet as he and his High Flying Birds prepare for their third album later this year. He was nowhere to be seen during the One Love Manchester concert, a charity event in tribute to those injured and killed in the attack at an Ariana Grande concert in April.

It later became apparent that the Oasis songwriter was away on a family holiday, though he was quietly donating all the proceeds from 'Don't Look Back in Anger' to the families of the victims, after the song was sang at a vigil.

Following that, as Liam's solo career got off to flying start with his first singles 'Wall of Glass' and 'Chinatown', as well as a storming Glastonbury set, Noel was still quiet. Until now.

Noel is supporting U2 on their Joshua Tree 30th anniversary tour and he took to Instagram to update fans on rehearsals, as well as fire shots at his brother.

Liam previously stated on Twitter that he'd 'rather eat his own shit' than listen to those 'beige fucks', so it was an obvious opportunity for Noel to chat about the Irish band's catering.

He wrote: "We are pretty much ready. The tunes have been given a good polish. Everyone has been reacquainted. We have new members!

We are very much looking forward to seeing old friends and maybe making some new ones but what we are most excited about is sampling the delights of The U2 Catering Experience... widely regarded as THE MOST superior catering experience anywhere in the music business.. See you out front."

He then signed off with: "AS YOU WEREN'T..KISS-KISS.. NG," referencing LG's famous Twitter sign off: "as you were."

Has he been rumbled by Liam's current success? Or is he just having a laugh? At this point, are we even bothered?

If you don't think U2 are 'beige fucks' (I'm not judging you), the leg of their tour with Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds commences this weekend.

High Flying Birds now includes four former Oasis members in Chris Sharrock (drums), Gem Archer (guitar), Mike Rowe (keyboards) and obviously Noel. Throw in Liam and we pretty much have Oasis. Get it together, lads, yeah?
