A farewell gift.

The end of the football season is always a jubilant time. Even if there's no trophies to celebrate, it's good to show your support and respect for the players of your club, and then have a good ol' piss up to look back on the season.

This season was a little different for Tottenham fans, as other than achieving 'putting the pressure on' (again), they said good bye to White Hart Lane.

Goals from Victor Wanyama and Harry Kane sealed victory against Manchester United during the last ever match at the stadium, which led to fans pouring onto the pitch to give it a send off.

Someone got right into the spirit of things, taking his beer onto the turf as well as appearing to snort a line where the likes of David Ginola have danced and tricked their way past defenders.

Fans were urged not to invade the pitch once the final whistle blew, as to not ruin the occasion.

However, the fella made his way down the line, much like Danny Rose, as the majority of the 31,848 in attendance swarmed around him.

Towards the end of the season, Spurs seemed like a rejuvenated side, looking like they might challenge Chelsea for the Premier League title.

However, after a disappointing one nil loss to West Ham, that dream ended, and Chelsea finally secured the title, after defeating West Brom at The Hawthorns.

Antonio Conte's side started the season fairly strongly, winning their first three fixtures against West Ham, Watford and Burnley.

They hit a rough patch during September, drawing at Swansea, then falling victim to an in-form Liverpool team, courtesy of a Jordan Henderson goal of the season contender.

On the last weekend of September they were demolished by Arsenal 3-0, causing Conte to change his tactics and this led the Blues to go unbeaten for 22 games.

Following this phenomenal form, which saw contenders like Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City fall far behind, it became almost certain that Chelsea would go on to win the title.

Spurs did get one over the champions at The Lane, however, as Dele Alli rose twice to connect with two Christian Eriksen crosses and nod the ball passed Thibaut Courtois.
