A game of tag that got seriously out of hand has resulted in one of the most dedicated pranks we've seen.

A woman has taken a game of tag with her mate to transatlantic levels after flying from the US to the UK unexpectedly, just to tell him, "you're it."

Georgina Wilkinson, Drew McEwan and a group of eight others met in 2010 and have been playing an epic game of tag for six years.

Brit Georgina, who now lives in the US, was 'it' and with the help of Drew's family and friends, had arranged to get one over on him by arriving at his niece's christening without him knowing, tagging him and then jumping on the next flight back across the ocean.

After travelling around 4,000 miles to Scotland from the US, Georgina posed as a gardener as Drew's family were taking photographs next to Loch Lomond.

The photographer (who was also in on the prank), instructed Drew to tell the gardener in the background to move as he/she was in shot.

However, when Drew approached the hunched-over figure, it turned round and tagged him before he even had time to register who it was or what was happening.

Digital consultant Drew, 31, told The Mirror: "My brother and sister had been planning it for months with Georgina behind my back. They even picked her up at the airport that morning.

"I've never felt so betrayed by my own flesh and blood.

"I didn't even get a chance to talk to Georgina. You have to just tag and run, you can't stay and chat.

"I was in shock that she'd put so much effort into it. Flying over from America and back in one day is unbelievable. She had to make sure she was home in plenty of time for work on Monday. It's my turn to tag one of the group now.

"Obviously I'm not pleased with the bar Georgina's raised for me but I must admit it was brilliantly executed.

"It was captured on video and you can see how surprised I was when I realised the gardener was actually Georgina.

"When the video was posted on Facebook, it was unbelievable how many comments and messages we received.

"To top Georgina's tag, my one will need to be captured on video, I'll need to have a great costume and it will need to involve international travel. I'm not telling a soul what I'm planning though. I'll need to keep it as much as a surprise as Georgina did with me."

Good luck, mate.
