As you get older you begin to realise that a lot of the things you once loved as a child aren't as innocent as you first thought.
TV shows are apparently littered with innuendos, cartoons are filled with hidden phallic drawings and characters from Disney films seem to have really dark backgrounds. It's a destruction of all that was once pure.
One thing that surely can't be corrupted is Winnie the Pooh. The white rose in a sea of shit and piss.

Despite this, top leaders in China have gone and gotten Winnie and friends banned on Chinese telly, because people started comparing the adorable character to China's president, Xi Jinping, according to BBC News.
The famous honey bear is being censored on social media due to the amount of memes that have been produced recently.
First, according to BBC, was Jinping and Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's awkward handshake which was compared to Winnie and Eeyore doing the same.

And then came along a picture of China's leader popping his head out of the sun roof of a limo, reminiscent of students from an American teen movie on their way to prom.
However, that reference passed by bloggers in China, who instead found a kid's toy of Pooh in a car much more of an accurate comparison.
To cover up the fact that he clearly has no sense of humour whatsoever, Jinping has ordered the country's authorities to claim that it's not a case of the joke not being tolerated, but rather them not wanting the beloved children's character becoming an online euphemism for the Communist Party's general secretary.

The BBC's China blog says that the country's censors are quite hard to get around, and when it wants something to become non-existent, it becomes just that.
The president is apparently a fella who refuses to give an inch on being quirky and having a bit of fun. So you wouldn't catch him on Twitter with the likes of JME, promoting his party's agenda, much like Jeremy Corbyn did in the UK's recent General Election.
