The 'Free the Nipple' movement is one that has gathered a lot of speed over the last half a year or so.

The people behind the campaign believe that women should be able to show their nipples wherever they like, should they chose to do so, much like men have the freedom to.

Instagram has strict nudity rules that mean a ban for anyone posting indecent images. Of course, if a man is on a beach with his top off, parading his nipples on the Costa Del Sol, then he'll glide straight past Insta's guidelines. However, should a girl post an image revealing her nipples, the picture will be taken down.

To combat this, an account called Genderless Nipples was started. The profile posts pictures of nips, but don't specify whether they are male or female. This means Instagram can't remove any of them.

A campaigner of the social movement Imogen Anthony has posted an image to find a way around the nudity ban by 'torching' her own nipple.

The Aussie model took a naked flame to her boobs, protesting against censorship and sexual inequality, the Mirror reports. She believes that female nudity should be viewed the same way as males.

Previously she shared a naked selfie on the picture sharing site, writing: "Hopefully in the near future, something as simple and raw as the woman's breast or ability to express her sensuality, sexuality and bodily beauty, will be accepted more into today's culture without being called a slut, a whore or someone who doesn't respect themselves," in an accompanying blog.

Last year two hundred men and women gathered topless on Brighton beach at the weekend for the 'Free the Nipple' campaign.

The mass turnout saw people parade topless around Brighton Beach to highlight social media policies about banning female nipples.

The Sunday march began at Brighton Pier and then travelled along the city seafront before finishing on the beach.

One attendee said: "It was lovely; I felt proud and fantastic."

Free the Nipple is all about gender equality, something we can all get behind.

"I joined the campaign to challenge the way women's breasts were perceived," comedian Samantha Pressdee said last year. "Breasts have been sexualised and the point of this campaign is that they don't have to sexual."

What do you think? The more nipples the better?
