Scarlett Johansson Invites Lookalike From The 60s To Film Premiere

Amazing.

There's all kinds of celebrity doppelgangers kicking about nowadays, but it never really gets any less surreal.

Even though we know that the lookalikes aren't actually the celeb, there's still a reaction to them that would be similar should you meet the actual person.

This is a bit different, as Scarlett Johansson has discovered someone who looked exactly like her years and years ago.

Denver Dodd, from Fort Smith shared a photo of his grandmother back in 1967, because he noticed the similarities between her and Johansson. Following the picture going viral, the actress decided to invite 'grandma Geraldine' to the premiere of her film Rough Night.

Dodd uploaded the video message Johansson personally sent to his grandma, in which she seems really excited about meeting Geraldine.

She seems particularly fond of the fact that she was "drunk as a skunk" when the photo was taken in the 60s, and says it'd be nice if that could happen again at the premiere.

She also offered to cover all of the costs for the OAP. Imagine that? You'd take the piss wouldn't you? First class plane journey, champagne on ice, breaking everything in your path, just saying, "put it on her tab, mate".

Perhaps this woman could get the same treatment from none other than Angelina Jolie?

Mum-of-two Melissa Baizen says that she's 'overwhelmed' with attention from strangers who regularly mistake her for the actress.

The 34-year-old, from Hales Corners, Wisconsin, US, despite the comparisons, is very critical of her own appearance.

The optical manager describes herself as a normal girl and claims that the attention can be 'overwhelming' and 'embarrassing'.

Melissa said: "I do get recognised. I get stared at quite a lot. I find it funny. It's quite surreal. She has always been an idol of mine. It's crazy to be compared to her."

She continued: "I've always been hard on myself. Some days I see it but others I don't think I look like her. I wish I had her smile, I hate my teeth.

"I have looked up to her quite a lot. I like her movies but I admire her the most for her humanitarian work.

"My personality is completely different but a lot of people say I really look like her. I think I'm probably a bit more animated than her and not so serious."

Melissa is a fan of Jolie's films and her favourites are The Changeling and Beyond Borders as she admires the strong female lead character she plays.

Melissa said: "I have dressed up as Maleficent before for the Bristol Renaissance Faire and a lot of people were coming up to me.

"It's quite overwhelming. I get a taste of what it's like to be her. It's nice and I'm sure you would get used to it but I don't think it's on the cards for me. I'm just a normal girl.

"It's helped my confidence a lot. I started being compared to her in my late teens but more recently I have been compared to her more - I'm not sure why.

"My friends and family agree that I look like her. I always get called Angelina Jolie at work, it's quite embarrassing.

"I don't think my partner likes all of the attention. He's okay with it but I think he does get a little bit jealous - he would never say it but I think deep down he does.

"I've never pretended to be her but maybe I will try it one day, I might get something out of it.

"I admire her as she is a confident and strong woman. I think a lot of women strive to be that way."

Fair play to her.
