Tropical Paradise Looks Boss But Has A Very Dark Secret

'Allegedly'...

A lot of us Brits live in an area that has it's own dark secret. Unfortunately, 'Big Dave' who sits in the corner of The Royal Oak, selling bath salts and meth to 17-year-olds isn't really enough to cause a stir. It happens in pretty much every British town.

Just off northern Australia though, on the 274 islands of the Torres Strait, there's a rather frightening alleged secret that scares the residents there out of their skin.

The islands are reportedly home to lavish hotels, dolphin spotting locations and a lot of tourist traps. However, the islanders claim there is powerful black magic, which is cursing their residents.

There are a few pubs round my way that are full of powerful black magic but I reckon it differs greatly from what the Torres Strait locals are on about.

Residents say objects have been cursed and that doctors are up to their necks in patients who think they've been hexed. Apparently, to achieve the black magic - which at this point I should point out is a totally fictional thing - you have to kill a relative, with several families allegedly practising the art.

"It's all over the islands," a hotel worker told the Daily Star. "It's openly believed that black magic exists.

"I know when people got sick they sometimes believed it was due to black magic."

As to not let this totally fabricated form of piss arsery die out, families that practise it have passed it down through generation, calling it "puripuri".

Various videos on YouTube show the people of Torres Strait claiming that the dark magic does exist with even a priest saying he's witnessed it.

If you wait long enough, one of the residents will claim Tupac is living there. Watch this space.
