Two Men Could Face A Huge Fine For 'Surfing' Endangered Turtle

They deserve all the fines they get.

It's odd that we're at a point where some people are still unaware of what animal cruelty is.

Take these two men for example, who decided they'd take a picture of them 'surfing' a turtle. Before doing what they obviously thought was a great idea (it wasn't), they should've asked themselves: 'Would I like two beings, who are much heavier than me, standing on my back, pushing my face into sand?'. I'm guessing the answer would be no - so it's insane that they'd think it's okay to do it to another animal.

The two blokes, who reportedly took the picture on a beach on Fraser Island, Queensland, Australia, incorrectly labelled it a tortoise, when it's actually a Green Turtle. This type of sea turtle is endangered, and is protected worldwide.

Regarding the matter, a QPWS agency spokesperson told the Fraser Coast Chronicle: "QPWS are taking this matter very seriously and investigating further.

"These guys are just complete idiots - there's no way they should be doing what they were doing."

Due to investigation from both QPWS and The Department of Environment and Heritage Protection, the two inebriated douche bags could face a fine of up to $20,000 each for harassing wildlife.
