The official account of former footballer and film star Vinnie Jones has shared a photo of around 100 dead foxes with a caption asking 'anyone beat this?'.

The tweet has since removed following a massive backlash, and the 52 year-old hunting fan has claimed that his account was hacked.

Of course, you can't really delete anything off the Internet, and the picture is still doing the rounds:

Jones has previously spoken about being a keen hunter and fisher, and has shared photos of previous killings on his social media accounts.

Here he is posing with 16 dead rabbits:

Jones currently lives in LA, but has a country cottage in Sussex, according to the MailOnline.

While hunting with dogs is illegal in the UK, 'lamping', which Jones referred to, is perfectly legal as long as the gun is registered.

A spokesperson from the British Association for Shooting and Conservation, told the MailOnline he doesn't believe the photo of the dead foxes was taken in the UK, adding that it would take a 'vast amount of land to sustain such a population of foxes'.

The BASC claims the killing of foxes via 'lamping' which involves people going out at night to kill foxes, is a 'safe and effective method of control'.
