Just when we thought 2016 couldn't get any worse.
It has been a year of heartbreaking celebrity deaths, the largest political uncertainty in centuries, and unimaginable humanitarian horror, suffering and warfare. We've all had enough of this past 12 months. It has been a marathon of grief and the future seems just as uncertain.
Honestly, 2016, what have done to deserve it all? The world seems to be in a state of unrelenting turmoil and we're hoping 2017 is the light at the end of the tunnel.
But, to be honest, as soon as something bad happens in the opening days, weeks or months of the new year it is going to feel as if it is all starting again.
And for the people in this story, life has become even more traumatic.
A wrapping paper shoppers were buying from Tesco over the festive period has been leaving glitter all over their carpet. How can it get any worse?... I'll tell you how, they had to get the vacuum cleaner and tidy it up...

According to The Sun, there have been thousands of complaints on the subject of Tesco's glittery wrapping paper. THOUSANDS.
Never mind Syria, Trump, Brexit, Harambe, Bowie, Prince, Wogan, Rickman, Cruyff, Michael, Fisher, Cohen, Wilder, Aherne, Ali, Wood and many, many more, the real tragedy of 2016 is that bloody Tesco glitter.
It's a corridor of grey misery, misery, MISERY.... covered in a bit of glitter.
