It is thought that the skeletal remains found in Rita Wolfensohn's home are that of her son, reports the New York Post.
Wolfensohn had two children. Her son, Michael, died in 2003 at the age of 38. Her other son, Louis, had been missing for 20 years and would have been 49 years old today.
Relatives were apparently taking Wolfensohn to the hospital when they discovered the human remains.
In a bedroom on the second floor, which was covered in debris, sister-in-law Josette Buchman found the 'completely intact' skeleton, dressed in jeans, socks and shirt, lying on its back on a thin mattress on the floor, police sources told The Post.

The room where the body was discovered smelled of rotting food but there was no apparent odour of rotting flesh.
However, in a dramatic twist, when the police questioned the blind woman about the the discovery, she spoke about her her son and said he had simply moved out.
The remains have yet to be formally identified, however, police believe it is Wolfensohn's son, Louis, and added that they believe he died of natural causes.
