An Australian gambler, who is globally banned from casinos, has accused a Canadian billionaire of making a $2 million sex-for-stardom offer to his actress wife.

The Aussie dollar offer, equivalent to £1.2m, was allegedly made to Robert Cipriani and his wife, Greice Santo, by hockey team owner Daryl Katz.

Santo, who stars in the US comedy-drama Jane The Virgin, reportedly informed police in Hawaii of the offer in November 2015, claiming that she turned it down.

Cipriani claims that Katz set rules that they'd have to have sex six times a month, for a year, meaning that the actress would be making almost £16,000 per meeting.

Katz himself is married to wife Renee, and has two teenage children.

Cipriani's claim was revealed after he filed a lawsuit against Katz's PR man Glenn Bunting, who he accuses of trashing his reputation.

A lawyer for Katz said that Cipriani's claims were 'false, malicious, and entirely without merit'.

Katz himself is worth an estimated $3.5bn (£2.8bn), and owns the Edmonton Oilers hockey team, is alleged to have made repeated advances on his wife for months after the initial offer.

The actress claims to have first met Katz, along with his cousin Michael Gelmon, while working on a photo shoot in Hawaii.

According to Variety, Santo said that Katz and Gelmon spoke about 'helping' her career.

She said: "They also spoke of the many connections Daryl Katz had, including his partnership with Joel Silver and Silver Pictures.

"I was told many times by Gelmon how very rich and powerful Katz is.

"For about 30 minutes they told me how they can change my life and career, and also change my family's life with their connections in Hollywood."

She claims that she was also told to Google Katz himself to show how big he really was, as well as being offered a big movie role.

Santo claims that Katz then scrapped that idea and moved on to just giving her the money, which she was suspicious of.

She claims that she asked him: "What would I have to do for this?"

The actress said that his reply was: "I'm looking for companionship and sex."

Santo then claims that the two men were 'obsessed' with her, and that a friend had told her 'he was going to have sex with you no matter what.'

Katz allegedly flew Santo to London to meet her again, and paid her $20,000 to secure a dinner date with her. But the actress says that the chat of work and life didn't last long, before the billionaire turned his attention to sex once more.

Santo said she told Katz: "I'm not a prostitute."

Cipriani was a key informant in an investigation into a cocaine syndicate that police claimed was being operated out of The Star casino in Sydney, as well as others in Las Vegas.

Cipriani was banned from all casinos globally after that case.

According to Katz's attorney, Dennis Roach, it is just 'part of an ongoing effort by Cipriani to harass, embarrass, and possibly extort' the Canadian.

Paying for sex is nothing new, it's been going on for as long as time itself. But, as we move into an increasingly more modern age, sex with humans is becoming a thing of the past.

A brothel has just opened in Barcelona, where sex with a doll can cost around £70-per-hour.

And instantly, you're all curious as to what that would feel like. Well, here's your answer...
